| Having a tough time deciding between the Stillen SMZ / louvered style center panel:
and the Royalty Performance center panel: yc9zVwBR+zrQz)Tg~~60_3.JPG)
I already have the Stillen Type III side skirts, and plan on adding the Stillen Type III front lip to my a-spec bumper. So thinking maybe I should keep going that route. But man I think the Royalty Performance panel looks really slick. I plan on getting my hood vented, I think it will further complement that horizontal look. In addition to enhancing aesthetics - I like the idea of ducting my Selin dual intakes in hopes of performance gains - however it would seem that this is a controversial subject and that many believe that in addition to the concern of (rain) water getting sucked into the intakes that ducting the center panel actually causes a turbulence issue that decreases performance vs. a ram-air effect that increases performance. For those who do have the Stillen "louvered" style I would imagine it is advisable (but not necessarily required) to dremel the vents before painting? I suppose one could make some sort of bung for the slits, or keep their old panel handy just in case? Maybe use some sort of quick release or wing nuts so it could be done quickly (I guess you would need 2 sets of brackets). In the 6 years I have had the car I think I have driven in serious rain only a few times.
